Granted, if you're playing the bagpipes you can't help it, but what's the excuse for the others?

This is my favourite medieval band Varius Coloribus Experience from Berlin. As I'm not just a frequent visitor of medival spectacles but from time to time help my mother out when she's selling her artwork there, I usually don't take that many photos for lack of time. This year though, I managed to sneak away from our cozy little hut a couple of times...

Early in August my friends of lotta sleeps played a support slot for Roisin & The Beards at the infamous Flower Power music pub in Leipzig. They're on holiday in Ireland right now, but as soon as they're back you should seriously check them out.

Yesterday I was lucky. Lucky not to stay in as I usually do, but instead take up Jools' offer to accompany her to a spontaneous concert/busking session/whatever of Town of Saints and Ian Fisher at Stoned. Since I hadn't been to the pub in ages, I welcomed the opportunity. Aaah, the joys of unemployment. 
Even though they just played a quite short set, it was brilliant to listen to. Unfortunately for me, the lighting in those dingy hellholes is frankly shocking, so the pictures are fuzzy and grainy, but pictures nonetheless. 
Just listen to their music online, dance around or try to catch them live somewhere near you. And if you're in Berlin tonight, go and see them play right away! 
I say, anyone who sells their music on vinyl even while only doing small sessions deserves to have money thrown at them...

Mein Kollege Ole von lotta sleeps spielt jetzt auch ab und zu mit den großen Jungs, so zum Beispiel Anfang Juli im Lene-Voigt-Park in Leipzig live mit der Liedertour 2012 unter anderem mit Manfred Maurenbrecher, Francis D.D. String, Jörg Kokott, Bastian Bandt und dem Papa.
